Living and working with the Lavender Project bunch was an absolutely amazing experience, and probably the best year of my life. Working on the land, the house and the hostel was hard work, but rewarding, exciting and different to anything else I’ve ever done. We built a hobbit house, painted walls, carried heavy things around and more often than not were covered in dirt, paint, resin and all sorts of other lovely things. We have become a little family, one that grows with every friend and volunteer that passes through, and I know I am always welcome there.
